Iconic 90s girl band the Spice Girls have announced a reunion tour to take place in 2019, without key member Victoria Beckham.
It’s not a shocking move, and there doesn’t seem to be any ill-will behind the decision either. Beckham has always been the least musically-inclined of the group and has also seen the most success since the band split.
She said in a statement: “Being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish my girls so much love and fun as they go back on tour. I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time!”
The tour will feature original members Melanie Chisholm, Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner in a six-date tour that will kick off at the Manchester Etihad stadium. Jess Glynne will support.
The group last reunited more than a decade ago for a 2007 tour, with a one-off performance at the London 2012 Olympic Games opening ceremony.
