British stars John Boyega and Letitia Wright are among the patrns of a new LA drama school – Identity School of Acting.
The school is a US offshoot of the London institution, which got Boyega, Wright, Damson Idris, Malachi Kirby and Melanie Liburd started in the industry and now benefits from their support.
Founder and principal Femi Oguns told Deadline: “We’ve dirupted the industry in the UK with our cast array of talent who have nurtured and developed using our unique teaching methods. Some of them have now gone on to become global successes, with many more to follow, and we want to replicate that success with the fantastic talent in the US.”
Each semester at the school runs for three months, and more than 1,000 auditionees have already been wittled down to 200 students.
